my appointment with disappointment
i am a failure. or, to be an optimist for once, i have succeeded in making a fool of myself. yet again.
peoplesupport call center, robinson's summit bldg., paseo de roxas, makati. tuesday to wednesday. i came, i saw, i fucked up.
maiden made me wear the green polo shirt she bought for me. it proved to be lucky indeed for when i arrived at the 33rd floor of the said building, everything went my way. first interview: passed. there where three of us and i was the only one told to comeback for a set of exams that night. well, i really wouldnt know how well i did but im pretty certain my scores were quite impressive. the english exam: cake. the email response test: no problem. the listening test: a bit hard, but i managed. the typing speed and accuracy test: scored 53 wpm! woohoo! the job was mine for the taking!
not so fast, mister...
the next day, i sat beside and envied a girl for she was there to sign her job contract. still rejoicing after yesterday's win, i breezed through the supposedly final interview. however, i wasnt prepared for what came next: a customer service phone call simulation. and i blew it. for sure. i messed up big time. i am a moron. there went the call center chapter of my life.
it wouldnt have hurt this much if i had failed on the very first interview or exam. just like when you're climbing somethin high, you suffer less pain when you fall from the lower parts. but when you've really gone high, when you've already climbed almost to the top and you make one wrong move and fall, you sustain the most agonizing injuries.
and so here i am again. jobless. worthless.
everybody else, especially my beloved maiden, believes that it aint over yet. i thank everyone who prayed for and supported me. plus a thousand apologies as well...
